My resolutions for the new year??
None.
Okay, that’s not exactly true.
1. I want to be kinder, especially to my own family.
2. I want to pray more.
3. I want to have more patience with my students.
I guess those are actually wishes, not resolutions.
Happy New Year everyone!

I’m stuck on “lum reek” and hope that it doesn’t mean that you want me to have reeky lums. lol

Translated means long may your chimney smoke.
A Scottish way of say. Have a long and healthy life.

Oh I think you have explained that to me before. It’s lovely. Assumption being no down draft, lol.

Those are great resolutions. I don’t make any either, mostly because I never live up to them. But I could be kinder, that I can do. So maybe I need a better list, too.

I usually have one biggie that I will never do. Like “go to the gym.” That translates as 6 months membership money wasted. I walk when I can now. Not enough, but feeling guilty about it doesn’t help either.

Hahaha. Self-knowledge is wise. I recently took the plunge – pun! – with a yearlong swimming pool membership and it’s going to take all my year’s resolutions energy 🙂 So no other resolutions for me!

Keep me posted. And I will let you know how not going to the gym is working for me, lol.

At some point I started following @14thCountry on Twitter. I read today’s Eternal Optomist post. I’m very interested because I forgot about this Twitter account and the flavor of your tweets seem somewhat different from your blog. You have many talents!

Hey Barb, thanks for following that too. You’ve surprised me. I do have Twitter but hardly ever use it: mainly for very short retweeting when something strikes me. Blogging is what I (try) to focus on 🙂

And you’ve surprised me! You should tweet your blog post out each time.

Thank you very much for the advice, I’ve chosen to keep a bit of a low profile till now and but had been mulling over moving ahead. Might do so this New Year 🙂

I have my blog automatically posted to @saneteachers, but then I retweet it on my personal Twitter account as well.

Likewise, I will just try to do better in 2017.
Happy New Year Barb.

I have none either. That way I can’ be disappointed in myself come February. Happy New Year to you! My wish for you is that your students give you more slack and enjoy the rest of the school year!

Lol I usually am quite patient. I’m blessed with a job I love. However, there is definitely a difference now that I see retirement hovering on the horizon. I was more patient 20 years ago. Happy New Year!

I like the idea, better than any resolution we should keep trying to get better each new day

Good luck with those. 🙂 I don’t make resolutions anymore as I always break them!

Thank you for sharing your New Year wishes. My annual New Year’s resolution is to “Do the next thing.” Sometimes that’s as far as I get. Happy New Year to you and yours!

That’s great! Totally no pressure. Today I will do the next thing.
