This is what I was doing a year ago. These are still my favorite songs, and I thought with the 2017 Eric Clapton Tour going on, this list is particularly relevant. I hope you enjoy the music. What are your Top 5 Favorite Songs?
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away I started a weekly series about my favorite books by genre. I started with Saneteachers’ Weekly Genre Feature-Fantasy and thanks to being a knucklehead and very ADD, I never wrote another genre feature. So I guess more accurately, it should be Saneteachers’ Yearly Genre Feature.
I love listening to music almost as much as I love reading. So instead of a genre reading list, I’m going to share my top 5 favorite songs. Not by genre, because I have fairly eclectic tastes, but by how-much-I-like-them. Oh boy, now to narrow it down to 5.
Unlike most people, there are lots of songs/artists that haven’t stood the test of time with me. As a child and teenager, I had every album the Beatles made and my friends and I would count down the days until the next one came out. Now…

Cohen was awesome. I thought a lot about which song of his to include; there are so many I love.
Keeping this to just five was hard. There are lots and lots of other songs that I would consider just as good.

You’re the second person to say… only 5? It’s not a hard and fast rule.
