Today we got rain. Out here we don’t get rain days – we just have to get wet.

Very true!! I love snow. Just not to drive in it. And having a day off is great. They are built into the school year, so it is wonderful having the day off.

I’m actually wishing for a little more snow…it;s such a joy to see the kids basking in them as it was their first time playing with snow. Plus, the fact that the Netherlands don’t get much snow is quite the novelty. But then again, spring is also a nice season.

I loved them pretty much when I was a kid, too! And as odd as it sounds, I even liked them when my kids were students. A snow day meant a break from our routine, just hanging out at home and letting the kids play in the snow. Of course, there was shoveling, but my hubby did most of that.

I agree. I’ve always loved snow days. But we still get paid when we have a snow day so it’s extra great.

Now we’re all praying for tomorrow. North of us is getting a blizzard, we’re getting snow and ice today with only high winds tomorrow. 60mph winds. So hope springs eternal.
