Enough Is Enough

Really?  My car has apparently now become a bee’s nest.

FYI – it isn’t the greatest photo because I was freaking out a little and wanted to make sure that these two (and the others flying around them) were definitely on the outside. Note Angry Bee #1 in lower left corner and Angry Bee #2 in upper right corner.  It is not on the tree in the background.  It is viciously attacking my driver-side window.  Ok I’m being a baby.

So is my car doubling as a bee apartment complex now?  I don’t think so.

It’s EVICTION time.

*sigh*

What is causing all these insects to be attracted to your car? 🤔Did you spill anything sweet? Good idea with car wash…or is it usual summer heat syndrome?

It’s not unusual for bees to make nests in engines (why don’t they burn to death?) or specifically in the space between the side-view mirrors and the back casing of the mirrors. Our parking space at our condo is under a tree and we get sap falling on the car. But the grasshopper? That was a new one. I don’t think I’ve ever had a grasshopper on my car before.

I had a friend whose car wasn’t running properly, and she finally looked under the hood. A pack rat had made a nest in her engine! (Now don’t you feel just a little bit better about all those bees?)
